Nvidia announces construction of 35 AI supercomputers in Europe
Hamburg, Germany – Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ: NVDA) announced in a press release on Monday that Europe is currently building 35 AI supercomputers, covering national supercomputer centers, AI factories, and academic research institutions in 23 countries.
This expansion further consolidates Nvidia’s dominant position in the field of AI infrastructure. According to InvestingDro data, this semiconductor giant has a market value of up to $5100 billion, a financial health rating of “excellent”, and a revenue of $253 billion in the past 12 months, with a year-on-year growth rate of 71%.
The above system will serve over 3 million researchers and be built on Nvidia’s Blackwell and Hopper platforms. Nvidia stated that its infrastructure supports over 90% of AI factory construction in Europe, with 800 AI exaflops of computing power deployed or announced since last year.
Key projects include the AI upgrade of MareNostrum5 by Barcelona Supercomputing Center, Blue Swan by Bavaria AI, IT4LIA, HammerHAI by HLRS, and Mimer EuroHPC AI factory by NAISS. These systems will support research in fields such as climate science, healthcare, decarbonization of clean energy, and quantum computing.
